A living tradition
The jeweler
The arracada jerezana is the signature jewel of Jerez, Zacatecas — silver filigree worked by hand into moons, drops and flowers. The technique crossed the Atlantic in the colonial era and has been refined by local silversmiths for generations. Every piece that leaves our workshop is designed and made once. When it finds its owner, it is never repeated.
José Quiñonez has been making jewelry for seven years, trained through apprenticeships in Zacatecas. His work took third place in last year's local design contest.
